My idea of housework is to sweep the room with a glance.

Today Deb & I were email-talking about how we hate cleaning and I shared the above sentiment with her that I got off a postcard but have since adopted as my personal philosophy. Then I was over at my old place tonight, doing the insane final clean-out, and I had the following thought: I could never kill myself by sticking my head in an oven. It would be too much like housework.

Lol, you are too funny. I love house cleaning because I find it relaxing. I’ll put my music on and dance around as I dust and tidy up. But I’m no Mr. Tanner (he is from the T.V. show Full House)

I find nothing relaxing about it. I'd rather just put my music on and dance and stir up little clouds of dust that I then willfully ignore. Where is the stress-relief in cleaning a shower? Or scrubbing those little trays under the burners on a stove? When I look at a budget for buying a house, I'm going to have to budget in maid service.

And, yes, I think every girl our age knows who Mr.Tanner is.

I don't know if I find it relaxing, but maybe, cathartic or some similar emotion? I find it difficult to relax when my place is messy, so I tidy up nearly every night.
